The second session in the Breakfast Series featured Noelle Hegarty, Global Head of Business Development at Cannes Lions. She invited the audience to step into the shoes of a Lions juror and explore standout Outdoor campaigns to gain valuable insights into what makes award-winning creative work.

The participants, 40% of which came from client organizations, were briefed like jury members before reviewing several entries. The session demonstrated how presentation and storytelling play a critical role in the judging process. This immersive experience equipped attendees with tools to better shape and present their own campaigns, not just for awards, but also for pitches and internal sell-ins.

“Festival juries are brutal forms of evaluation as volume and time collide to force a selection out of a pack of entries. The packaging is as important as the content, so it requires discipline and creativity above and beyond the case itself. These are important lessons in the world of communications and creativity,” said Daniel Shepherd, Chief Strategy Officer of OMG MENA.
